There is an interview here regarding Amber's bf: http://starcasm.net/archives/314359

I really don't like how the middle aged producers/camera people have interjected themselves into the show as BFFs/amateur therapists, dropping "like" and curses into every conversation.

It's the fourth wall, and I understand why they had to do it. Amber and Farrah have very few friends who will actually talk to them.

Caitlyn is the only likable one in the bunch.

I find it interesting, sometimes you can put a timeline together when things were filmed and see how it was all put together.

Adoptive parents seem to allow contact for the sake of the show not giving adoption a bad name. And they seem to fear being in negative public light, which would happen if they were to cut off all contact.

Nah, open adoption is pretty common these days which includes visits because it is recommended by psychologists and many adoptees themselves. Very few domestic adoption agencies will take on adoptive parents as clients who request closed adoptions.

As an aside, I'm not convinced that this new norm will stick as the "best" for all involved. It's certainly the current thinking, but I think in practice that over time the psychological drawbacks, both short and long term, of doing it this way will become more evident.

Farrah...who's house is that? That's her dad's house right?

Well, I'm sure relieved to see he has a legitimate, grownup job. Totally thought he was just freeloading off Amber.

They are all grown ups age wise but they all still have the mentality of a child.

Farrah bought the house in Austin herself. Her dad was living in her guest house.

Not likely. And open adoption has been a new norm since at least the 80's.

On tonight's show, Farrah is asked how she feels about Maci's response to being told Farrah's being brought back in the trailer for the show.

"I feel disassociated from people ..." Yeah honey, that's a big problem. And it shows. It explains why you keep trying to rush into intense relationships with men, because you're seeking a connection that was severed when you sold your soul to do porn.

Maci explained herself quite eloquently - that Bentley is in kinder, and kids already ask him about being on tv. "Oh, is your mom the one who does porn?" and she isn't really judging Farrah for her choice but simply doesn't want to be associated with a sex tape. Amber piped up that in the depths of her addiction Vivid contact her and offered her half a million to do porn and she refused.

Farrah is honestly one of the most fucked up people I have ever seen. Poor, poor Sophia.
