How does saying you're a good communicator in one post (mechanics) and pointing out that you have a low opinion of believers (substance) mean I'm inconsistent? I suspect you're really not bright and you operate under the power of a sense of self, and that ego has been pulling you along (and dragging you down) for a good part of your life.

I am choosing to view you as a work in progress.

Different poster here -- this sounds petty and mean and -- childish

I believe in hell that comes after the day of judgement. I'm a Christian.

do you believe that people don't go to heaven or hell until the day of Judgement? Do you think that it's like we're asleep until then and then we wake up to be judged?

There is not a strong case that the Bible teaches "soul sleep," even temporarily. Jesus told a story of the rich man in hell, talking to Abraham and a beggar he ignored who were in paradise. When the thief on the cross confessed his sin to Christ, Jesus told him, "Today you will be with me in paradise." Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5 that he would rather be "absent the body and present with the Lord." In John 5:28-29, we are told that after the Second Coming of Christ, we will all be reunited with our bodies, those who believed in Christ to a resurrection of life, and those who didn't to a resurrection of damnation. Until then, the Bible seems to teach that our souls are conscious of our fate. But even if we do go to sleep for a time, it is clear Biblical teaching that we will exist, consciously for all eternity, which would make that sleeping period seem like a very short nap that will quickly be forgotten, regardless where you end up.

I thought God forgives all sins.

I don't believe in hell. I beieve we are just as we existed before birth.

And this is based on what?

Psalm 139:16 says, "Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them." According to the Bible, God knows you before you're even born.

And God does forgive all sins when forgiveness is asked through Christ. It's really very easy.

Well, do I have some good news for you! There is no such thing as hell! No way that he'll exists! I wish I could convince you. How terrible it must be to live your life in fear. And for that fear to prevent you even from having children! I am so sad for you.

I have better news for you. You can have forgiveness of sins and eternal life through faith in Christ. With faith in Christ, we are free. Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. John 10:10. Put your trust in Christ, and leave your fears with Him. Hebrews 12 says we "have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel."

This is far, far better news. God bless.

If you are a Christian, please remember 1 John 5:13: "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life." God does not want us to live in fear, and that is why He gave us His holy word so that we can be assured of our eternal future with Him.

It's good news for her, if she believes it, but it won't help her children unless they believe it too -- and there's no telling what they'll be like. She can take wonderful care of them and teach them all about the Bible, but they will have their own free will that god gives to everyone, individually, and who know what they will do with it?

It's unfair of you to not point this out to her -- or do you just care about her soul and not her children's?
