I think because OP wanted to discuss atheists without being interrupted by said atheists.

I'd say there is a larger atheist presence on religion threads than believer representation. Then again, I suspect it's the same handful of posters who make it a game to pop up whenever a Christian thread begins.

Ranting, like hypocrisy seems to be a human condition -- anyone can do it, irrespective of religion or lack thereof.

Ranting Atheist is a real person here. He or she has had this nickname for a few years, I think. He or she has a trademark style, including juvenile humor, twisting everything, and changing the subject if another subject isn't working out for them, in order to get the last word. That said, nobody can say for sure which posts belong to RA.
