I grew up in the former USSR, and among the Russian-speaking people I know, pretty much all the women married non-Russian men (myself included). My sister, who insisted on marrying a fellow Russian-speaking immigrant, is having issues in her marriage.

Russian men can be super sexy and can be super ugly. Same as American men. I had two Russian boyfriends who were models, both super sexy and great in bed.

Russians are usually super hot when they are young. But they hit that wall harder than Dale Earnhardt.

I think this is mostly a result the very traditional gender roles at play. Young Russian women are usually well put together and fit, and not afraid to dress for the boys. Young Russian men are roguishly handsome, athletic and have an authentic grittiness to them.

But those tough young men eventually grow into corpulent, boorish drunks. And the ladies put on 60 pounds and eventually don the babushka.
