13:50 here- 16dp5dt- hcg level 3899
Seems high, but nurse said it's cool. Back next fri for u/s |
| Cycled on time at age 41. Retrieved 17 eggs, 14 fertilized, had 8 embryos on day of transfer, transferred 5-6, had one healthy baby who is 12 now. |
| To the PP with the high beta, that looks like twins - check out http://www.betabase.info/chart/basic/twins |
Yeah- was a little worried about that. They only transferred one embryo. So... Yeah. I've also heard that It can split and then one of the twins vanishes. Trying not to dwell on it, but you guys know how it is. We go through so much, for years many of us. It's hard not to obsess. |
| Good luck, PP. Keep us posted. I am about a day behind you and my betas are slightly higher than average on betabase but way less than yours!!! |
Congrats! Hope it all goes smoothly. |
| PP, when is your ultrasound? Mine is on 3/10 - long wait for me. I'm dying with this wait and peeing on sticks every day to make sure I'm still pregnant. 3/10 is 6 weeks and 4 days for me. |
Hello! I think I'm the person you are asking- high beta here. My u/s is scheduled for next fri 3/6 No tests between now and then. I wanna have a blood draw in the mean time, because I'm so anxious. I really need to calm down and not think about it. What will be will be. Nurse said they would be looking to be sure it's in the uterus, and wouldn't be able to tell much. Good luck to you. I'll check back in after my US and give an update. I hope you do the same.

| Hi, to the high beta PP. How are you doing with the wait for your ultrasound appt? It's Friday right? Mine is next Tuesday and I'm having a hard time waiting it out. I keep thinking the worst. Do you have any symptoms? I don't have any which I know is probably normal for 5 weeks and 5 days, but it's making me paranoid. I keep testing, but I'm not sure I would see a difference in lines at this point if something did go wrong. Wishing you the best at your ultrasound on Friday. |

I am 41 and had 25 today
No idea how many will fertilize I know I had 15 in good range and Rest were mostly so small they Weren't even measured I'm not pcos and though my age Puts me at low risk for ohss I thought this was overboard Studies have shown ideal number For quality and live birth is about 15 That over 20 isn't worth the Risk because the Added benefit is marginal possibly negative I was on letrozole menopur gonal and ganirelix Took ova drill shot. Feel awful after retrieval |

41
25 eggs Figuring maybe half are mature Based on measurements 7 were so small they didn't measure I'd have preferred lower I think I Was overstimulated and don't want Side effects. Will know tomorrow about fertilizing |

| I just turned 41. Single mother by choice. First round I had 19 eggs, 15 mature, 14 fertilized (with donor sperm), and 6 made it to blastocyst stage on day 6 to be frozen (for genetic screening). I wanted to do a second round of retrieval and send all embryos for genetic testing at once, so today 20 eggs were retrieved. I guess in 2-3 weeks I'll know how many of the embryos are healthy and start on FET. Encouraging to read how many of your 40+ moms have had success. I opted to do the genetic screening because my mother and paternal grandmother had way too many miscarriages and I wanted to avoid that, to any extent possible. Also wanted to get all the eggs upfront, before I get any older. |
