I sell virtualization SW...real exciting stuff.

IT software to the federal government... are you male or female? Just curious b/c to me this seems it would be male-dominated, both the DM's and the sales force.

Female and before this I sold enterprise level storage and before that I was at Sun.

Being female is a huge advantage, as I sell into the DoD space and yes I am one of very few. Its much easier to get appointments as a woman than a man. All of the DMs and upper level managers are men. I'm not interested in management anyways, they don't make as much money and have more pressure.

What is even funnier to me, though, is how some people (20 years post graduation) use their Harvard and Yale alumni email addresses instead of yahoo, gmail or something else. Or someone who dresses their 2 year old in a Harvard shirt for their preschool visit.

I think this is the bottom line. People need to get a life. My husband went to an Ivy, so what. He doesn't go around bragging about it, He is 47 yrs old. I would hope his college days are far behind him. Maybe these people stopped achieving after college. I guess if the only thing my husband managed to do in his life was get an acceptance letter from a college, he would be telling anyone with ears willing to listen. He is far more accomplished than that. I will say that his job did require either an Ivy education or a lot of experience and a decree from a top school.

If you don't mind sharing, what does your husband do?

Jealous much? Nantucket is awesome (and my kid thinks so too - hence the tee)

I am not the PP, but I think when people buy their kids obvious tee shirts of snooty places, the parents look like douchebags and are trying too hard.

Sorry you feel that way. Perhaps a vacation to Nantucket (ha!) will make you happier and clean up your language a bit.

I have noticed that there is one particular poster on this board who exclusively uses the phrase, "Jealous much?". Usually, what she says after that is not very interesting.

I have noticed that too PP!

And I've noticed there's a poster who always ends with: get over yourself. Jealous much and get over yourself posters should get together for a debate:

Jealous much?
Get over yourself!
Jealous!
Over!

HA! I was just thinking the same thing when I read this. Along with what an odd thing it is for an adult to say! LOL...

What follows next would most certainly be a huge cat fight, and then the unavoidable "YOU TORE MY NANTUCKET T-SHIRT!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And then I notice that there are always these posters who are able to make witty brief comments that make me LOL!
