Fairfax city 22030 just lost power

We are in Vienna (22182 zip, between gallows rd and cedar, near the Navy FCU) and still have power. It's flickered a few times.

Friends in Fairfax City lost power much earlier, around 7 pm. Friends in Mclean out even before that.

20815 still with power. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Unbelievable, and I mean that in a good way! I'm still shocked we didn't lose power in my neighborhood in Kensington.

Apartment downtown. Half our power is out. Really weird.

Our answering machine is not picking up when we call the house... it must have lost power. I am not surprised. Our house is in Falls Church/ Mclean area and we lose power all the time. I hate living in an old farty neighborhood.

You have an answering machine?? It's 2012, not 1992.

NP here. Much better than having that strange male voice answering your calls. The best moment of 2012 for me was when, on the 900th call to my answering machine after the derecho, I finally heard my voice, signifying the return of power. I never sounded so good!

We lost it in Old Greenbelt twice now but it wasn't out for more then an hour. Pepco had done a lot of prep work here this past week. Trimming trees and such.

Power out in Arlington. Our whole block is out to the west and south. But there is power across the street.
