Not true. My nanny proves you wrong. Everyday for two years now. |
| I have one. I gave it to my friend from Maryland because she has psoriasis. Wanna see a pic? |
|
OP, I'm confused. Please help clear this up. Are you angry because: you have no nanny? you have no pass? you are not worthy of a pass? no one cares what you think? you can't afford to move elsewhere after making DH move there? you aren't getting any sex? all of the above? Know when to STFU already. Is DH tired of hearing you? |
| Op here. I never stated anything about vandalism. That being said I did call the police and they assured me they would watch the 2 cars I had concerns about and ticket and tow. The cop was very understanding and said that there have been a number of calls over his tenure about the same thing. They ticket and tow. |

Not what OP wants but what the law demands. Whatever OP's motivations, mental state or bar membership status, you are breaking the law and you know it.
The Visitor pass is for legitimate guests of the residents of the neighborhood, not someone they are letting park there so they don't have to pay for Metro or parking. The nanny thing is a whole other question. Perhaps the proposal before the DC Transportation Committee to do away with the Visitors pass will pass. Wouldn't that put your knickers in a twist? |
A nanny is a "guest"/employee in your home. A friend who uses your pass to commute is not. If you don't need the pass regularly, just put it in a drawer. |
Yes, apparently you are confused. You don't know the difference between abiding by the law and breaking it. You haven't been able to figure out from this thread that if OP lives in the neighborhood OP is talking about, then OP has a visitors pass. You don't know if OP is male or female. And, except when OP identifies him/herself, you don't even know who is posting which responses. Maybe you should lie down for awhile til you feel better. |
What if someone had a driveway and let their commuting friend park in their driveway? It's essentially the same thing. I think the guest pass essentially "entitles" you to a spot that's available. |
| Letting someone use your driveway is not the same thing at all. Using your driveway only affects you - not other people who might need to use the parking space on the street. |
Psoriasis is no excuse.
|
I've got a friend from Montco who is constipated, so I let her use my pass to park in Tenleytown and take the Metro. I feel no guilt. |
|
op is a joke and op knows it. stop deflecting op and get a clue. no one, not even your spouse, wants to hear your nonsense. people have tried to tell you, but you are dense. cue op blithering on and trying to sock puppet now. |
|
Let's all track OPs info and park in front of her house - double park - triple park! WOOHOO! We can all point and laugh at OP! |
Really? You consider your driveway to be public space? Awesone - please let me know wher eyou live so I can part there when necessary. |
DC has several universities that attract non-DC residents. Some of these non-DC students live beyond commuter range. Should a student from Delaware, NJ, Mass etc not be allowed to park a car on the street if they are renting a house or apartment? Guess what? DC has a permit for them except for Georgetown! http://dmv.dc.gov/serv/parking/Reciprocity.shtm |
