fuck animals they are gross and shouldnt be inside of the home, whats even more disgusting is when i used to stay the night at my girlfriends house and her flea ridden dogs would sleep on the bed with us. She had 5 chiwinis (ugliest dogs ever)They were all literally licking their assholes tilll the sun rose. It was so gross , then to top it off i got to go home where my cat had puked all over the house and sat on my clothes causing his fur to penetrate every orifice that existed. Animals are just gross |
What is wrong with you people on this site? No one can even write a coherent sentence, use proper punctuation, or basically acceptable language. Are you guys on DCUM all the time or where have you come from? |
Many with small dogs and cats just let training and enclosures be ignored. So get a cat condo--far cheaper than new carpet or furniture:

People with cats: keep them indoors. I wish there were some sort of law against this. I am so sick and tired of every goddamn cat in the neighborhood wandering around my yard, shitting in my garden. Ugh. Disgusting animals. We're the only ones without a dog, so they pick us.

A lot of people posting on this thread are idiots! You treat these creatures like they are people! You let them destroy and piss all over your home and belongings and think its your responsibility to deal with it. If I had a cat that did half the stuff these posters are complaining about I would drop its a** off on an abandoned street and let it fend for itself! Cats are not submissive and dependent on people feeding them like dogs! If you abandon a cat it will revert back to it's independent feral nature and hunt for its food like nature intended. In my opinion the best pets to own are fish. |
If you hate cats so much, PP, don't get them.
Your opinion on fish is irrelevant here. |
i have 2 male brother cats `12 yrs old-had em since kittens--constantly im thinking of getting rid of them, one has become very demanding-constantly wants to eat, stalks me most of the day if i dont feed him the huge amounts he wants-they are healthy, but the throwing up-lately they poop outside the box-the house smells-i love them but they are making me very unhappy-i feel awful feeling this way-but im very close to the humane society |
As much as I complain about the horrors of cat care (we have three!) we still like being cat owners. It's the dog that has created chaos in our home! The little Aussie shephard enjoys sneaking cat turds from the box. Preferably fresh ones, which he chews like a raw hide. I have become so paranoid about cleaning the cat box, my cats couldn't be happier. But I am so tired of scooping. Going to get a robot for Christmas to see if it make a difference. |
I'm so glad to read this forum and see that I'm not the only cat lover who resents his pets. I'm on my second pair of cats, the first ones I had for 13 years (one for 11 the other for 13) I loved them both dearly and they were ideal cats who didn't get into much and were relatively clean. They loved to play, but didn't cause too many problems.
About 6 months after the death of the second from that pair, I got a new pair. These ones were a completely different story. They had claws, and I refuse to declaw now that I know how terrible it is for them. They were very skittish and it took months for them to warm up to me. They still act like wild cats about 3 or 4 times a day, often in the middle of the night, waking me up. I live in a rather sizeable apartment for NYC and it constantly smells like poop or pee despite continuous scooping and replacing of the litter. I'm also at a place where I may need to move again and go back to school. Money has become tight and having these cats is inhibiting my ability to move forward in life. I am a person who firmly believes that if you commit to a pet, you commit to them for their lives and do everything you can to make it a happy and healthy one. But, is it right to do that at your own expense? Anyway, just wanted to add my bit and glad there aren't more people jumping down the original poster's throat for expressing a real concern. |
I nominate this post for best of dcum |
Correct most even treated usually die in a 1.5 years |

I have four litter boxes in our laundry room - having those choices stopped the pooping out if the box. Crazy, I know - but you do what ya gotta do. I also use litter called cat attract, which is expensive but seems to help. My cat is 12 too and when I adopted him I made a commitment to doing the best I can for him. Taking your cats to the humane society so they can be put down is really f-ing cruel. |
I used The Feline Foundation years ago when I had to rehome my cats. They were great and found new homes for my cats.

I nominate you and the PP for stupidest post ever in the pet forum. Get back to your homework, kid. |
