38, still not there but pretty close (90s), hope to get there this year. work in private industry, not a lawyer, not fed.
I feel behind relative to the uber-rich always posting on DCUM, but normal and very fortunate compared to the rest of the country. Perspective people, only on DCUM or in certain major cities in certain circles would you be able to ask this question and get a ton of responses. |
| Age 28 and at 92k. Want to hit 6 figures by 30 which has always been a big goal for some reason. Hoping in a little over a year from now I can do it! |
| Sigh. I won't hit 6 figures for another 7 years. 30 and nonprofit attorney. Salary scale. |
| 32- sales, went from 50k to 140k in 2 years. The next 2 varied up 20/down 20. Problem...happier when I made less. Even though work was harder when I made less...stressfull boss, boring job... more income makes me worry more. Not as easy to replace my income now, and forget about taking a year off or more to stay at home with kids. |

| I thought you don't inherit until you are at least 18 because you are otherwise a minor? |

Broke 100k at 32 as an in house lawyer which i have been since graduation at 28
At 38 broke 270k as an in house lawyer |
And first job post law school was 45k in house |
| 6 figures ain't shit anymore. 200k is the new 100k |
why? b/c the man is the plan? |
Agreed! 100K hardly supports a household here! |
so true so sad I go home to visit relatives in lower cost areas and am amazed at how great I could live there on $100k as compared to here |
| It's not what you make but what you keep |
