I am a teacher and will never make 100K
DH was 28. His job out of grad school paid 120K with 30K signing bonus. |

I'm 31 and an Exec Admin Asst. Unless I make some drastic changes, it ain't happening. And if it means working over 40 hours a week, I'm not interested in making it happen.
I'm married, but this thread isn't about our spouses, so I won't include DH's income. |
| DH was 27. |
| 25. Big Law. I've since left and hope to work my way back up to six figures by around 40-45. |

as a household, we broke that by 30. However, neither of us has broken that individually in straight salary (he got paid 90K in salary and 10K in signing bonus when he signed on with his current job). We thought DH might hit that in salary this year, but his boss gave him a BS excuse for why he couldn't have a raise he's waited for for 3 years. You know, when all other costs of living have gone up. Not even a freakin COLA in that time - yeah, I'm bitter, especially when I know what the boss just went and bought a luxury condo for himself and his new way-younger bride.
We're both 34. I'm not ever expecting to break that salary on my own. We still combined make under the Roth limits, which I know on this board is parctically unheard of. He's a contractor, I work PT. Even when I worked FT, I never broke $50K. |
here we go again. when YOU did. not DH. |
| 32, software. |
