It's a very busy spot with a constant police presence, I doubt they'd hang around to extract shoes and cash when it became clear he'd been shot.

Usually a kid is robbed for shoes and cash, before being shot, why not here? If there was a physical altercation last year, was it rival crews? The day after he was shot there was another shot fired in basically the same spot, from the roof of the garage. Retaliation or more?

To a PP it sounds like he was on his feet being restrained, then his mother said he tried to run. Not held down.

Horrific.

I hope an arrest is made soon.

This is interesting. So all the J-R kids, including mine, who have said it’s likely the same non-J-R kids who got into the school last year and beat him up, are wrong? Obviously it’s possible. And everything is just rumor. But it’s really a student at the school? Or 10-15 students in this case? And no businesses had cameras in the alley and the guy who eats chicken and tosses the bones everywhere every day didn’t see anything? It all feels fishy. Morning weapons abatement procedures better really tight at J-R. I feel terrible for this family. Let’s not have another tragedy.

My kid says that the incident in the school earlier in the year was unrelated. There was an incident with a stolen gun several weeks ago. Both parties showed up to fight. Brady was beating the crap out of the other kid who is a sophomore. Sophmore kid shot him because he was getting beat up. House of suspect has been raided, kid is unaccounted for. Brady is known for having participated in past criminal activity. Still all rumors.
