10-15 males running away from shooting site?
How disgusting |
GDS sent an email informing parents that they brought all students still on campus inside to shelter in place. |
| It was near Jackson-Reed. I'm not sure if it was a student there or involved students there. |
Can you not decipher a map? |
| Any updates on this? Jackson Reed student as victim, is he going to be OK? Were the 10-15 fleeing also Jackson-Reed students? |
NP here. We could all afford to be a little kinder to each other these days. |
Anyone have an update to if it was JR related? |
| A student from JR. Very sadly, he died. Poor kid and his poor family. What a tragic waste. |
| My JR student is also reporting that the boy who was shot has died. Devastating |
| Yes, it's all over Instagram but no updates from the school. Heartbreaking. |
|
Maybe. Just maybe. Perhaps the police will start doing something about after school. The open pot smoking at the top of the metro escalator. The occasional games of craps.
None of this is unknown to MPD. They do something for three days and then it’s back to sitting in their car. It’s really hard to support more funding for MPD when they don’t actually seem to do much. And the location of the homicide has been a problem spot for a while. The hoodlums hang out by the dumpsters at the back of the CVS lot. |
| This is awful. There was another incident yesterday at 4:30pm across from the JR baseball field. There’s a parking lot with a ledge that overhangs Chesapeake St. there’s often kids up there smoking pot (we are neighborhood walkers with kids at JR) and police responded yesterday when a gun discharged. Kids were on the baseball field and a local preschool had its kids out a block away. MPD needs to be in the community more and patrolling these hot spots. |
Does anyone have a link that confirms this? |
