He's just defending his turf. Don't worry about it. |

There are definitely some UVA nutters on DCUM who make ridiculous comments.
UVA/W&M/VT are popular because in-state tuition is generally cheaper than other options. |
+1. While I wouldn’t go around just saying “my kid goes to a public Ivy,” people who mock the term sound ignorant. It’s been common in the college world for decades. |
This is ridiculous to call them Public Ivies. The are public HYP. |
Ah - I see dcum’s notorious “nutter” lady has entered the conversation. She is the only one here who uses this word, which is weirdly British (how odd that now she’s pontificating on exclusively American colleges and universities). Her opinions are universally kinda crazy and extreme across many topics on DCUM. What a nut-job! |
| None of them have the best football team in Virginia. |
No. |
It’s a truth universally acknowledged, that DCUM UVA boosters are nutters. |
And it’s been ridiculed the entire time. I personally love when people capitalize it like it’s a real thing.

It's great to know that JMU boosters think the only thing their school has going for it is football. |
No, it actually hasn’t, which is why different people have updated the list periodically since. But whether you agree with the concept or not (and I have no doubt the deeply insecure status chasers don’t), making statements that make clear you’ve never heard of it are a sign of ignorance. I wouldn’t advertise that. |
try to get in first before asking! |
. Only by you. No one else cares. It’s been a term in use since 1985 abd has its own wiki page. Go find some other aspect of UzvA to try and tear down. Sorry you are envious. |
