| What are you all eating on today? My homemade pizza is in the oven... |
|
Curried coconut and red lentil soup
Popovers |
|
Spicy tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches today.
Chicken casserole tomorrow. |

This morning I made (TJs) chocolate and almond crossaints and fruit salad. For lunch we had sandwiches (BLTs for adults and bacon/egg everything bagels for my kids). For dinner we'll have crockpot pulled bbq chicken, baked mac and cheese, and a salad. I have chocolate chip cookie dough that I made before the storm, so will probably make cookies.
Tomorrow probably cinnamon rolls for breakfast and something simple for lunch like grilled cheese and tomato soup or something frozen or leftovers (DH and I have remote work). For dinner I'll do sheetpan chicken fajitas with homemade guacamole and beans and rice. Tuesday just a get your own breakfast (again, remote work), leftovers for lunch, and homemade pizza and a big salad for dinner. Wednesday who knows. Thursday I am supposed to catch a flight to the west coast for a Friday am meeting, but we'll see if that happens because I hear there is more snow! |
| Today I made brownies which I always make on snow days and ONLY make on snow days so they always feel special. Tonight is spaghetti and garlic bread. Tomorrow might be teriyaki steak bowls or stuffed chicken pockets. |
I don’t know what weather app you all are using but i’ve looked at three and none show more snow this week. |
| About to start a batch on chili from a NYT recipe. It has like 100 ingredients and by some miracle I have all of them! |
|
Beef stew is in the oven now.
Braised chicken tomorrow night. Tuesday I'll probably have to go back to the office so we'll go back to normal quick weeknight dinners. |
| I made lamb and chickpea stew using a recipe from the New York Times. |
|
I'm already tired of cooking and baking and I do that normally week in and week out. It was just very concentrated today!
I'm dreaming about my first take out meal when roads open up... |
| Defrosted and marinated 5 lbs of chicken wings. Will have oven roasted wings and potato wedges. |
| Homemade beef stew, a baguette, and butter. Pairing it with a Gigondas (red wine from Southern Rhône), which ChatGPT helped me select from my collection. |
I only saw Accuweather mention it as a possibility for next Sunday. Nothing on Weather Channel or Apple Weather. And CWG, Doug Kammerer, etc. would already be mentioning it too. |
| chicken quesadilla and homemade guacamole & chips |
| I dug up the frozen pesto I made over the summer! Pasta, roasted veggies from whatever I had around (just remembered I forgot the spinach - sad), and just enough cream to make the pesto into a sauce. Grilled up some chicken that we bought so that we could have leftovers for the week. |
