Republicans want a civil war. Especially while they are in power and control the military.

If this was even remotely true you’d already be dead.

Go sip some chamomile tea and relax.

The fact that you’re even allowed to protest and riot and assault the police and federal officers and scream about how this is a fascist country is proof in and of itself that it’s not.

Because if it was an actual fascist country, all of you protesting in the street would simply be rounded up, executed, tossed in a mass grave, and that would be all there is to it. You would be too terrified to come outside your hiding places to begin with, if this were a fascist country.

Your ridiculous histrionics and hyperbole are not helping your credibility or the situation.

They deserve it. Iran handled it correctly.

MAGA showing its love for brutal dictatorship.

Trump promised to deport 100 million people.

There are only 52 million foreign-born people in the US.

Only 14 million of them lack documentation.

Who do you all suppose make up the difference in terms of who will be deported?

What do you think they want if all can be accomplished in Project 2025?

They want this

Maybe the left could just let law enforcement do its job and stop confronting them and creating chaos and violent confrontations. If there's an argument to be made, make the argument in court. But of course, they want the violent confrontation and chaos, so it will continue. Hard to see how you conclude that "Republicans want civil war" because of this.

Wow, you do not sound like a true American. You should be deported!

Yeah whatever - according to you I'm not a "true American" because I say that someone who has an issue with law enforcement carrying out its duties should make a claim in court instead of sending mobs of people to confront and interfere with law enforcement and create chaos and violence, or violate the rights of other Americans to carry out their religious worship in peace. Sounds like you're the one who has an issue with being a true American.

Ok, start providing accountability.

We need to be able to identify abusive agents or agents that are breaking the law and then be able to pursue action.

As it stands you have fascists in charge telling anonymous kidnappers that they have complete immunity.

When law enforcement takes someone into custody, it is per se most certainly not "kidnapping" -- that's just inflammatory language of exactly the kind that is creating the tensions being complained about. But you know that.

Whatever cereal box you cut your law degree from called and it wants it back.

This is one of the stupidest things I've seen on DCUM.

Someone's stupid is showing. There may be "unlawful arrests" or "unlawful detention" but when law enforcement detains or arrests someone it is never "kidnapping." Any lawyer can tell you that.

How do we know how many actually lack documentation ? Isn’t it unknowable if they entered illegally and just stayed ? Its one of the most disturbing things about open borders.

Republicans do not allowing protesters. You have said the murders and abductions by federal government are what they get for resisting. You hate these protesters because of their freedoms.

Republicans are the principalists and ICE, FBI, DHS and DOJ are the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Yes if you do not have proof of citizenship and party affiliation when you are arrested you are illegal. This is why ICE and republicans are able to deport Americans citizens. There are no constitutional rights. Those days are over.

They are not law enforcement. They are immigration officials.

I doubt they actually weigh the consequences of what they decide. I think Project 2025 people figured if they made their plan and picked their people, the machine would deliver. Trump is another matter because of his erratic obsessions, but he certainly does not weigh consequences.

Yes when stupid illiterate MAGA’s cannot understand the difference between Immigration Custom Enforcement under Dept of Homeland Security and LEO under County or Chicago police districts. They are not supposed to be policing protesters or regular civilians but people WITHOUT citizenship or proper documentation. If I went to France without a proper tourist VISA I would be held and sent back home, not beaten, tear gassed, thrown in a cell with no food or aid or murdered. That is what civilized custom agents do.

My take someone off the street for no reason in exchange for money from the government or you hold them until they give up information. That’s kidnapping, extortion.

Or, hey, maybe in addition to being a violent thug you are also just a two bit armed robber.

“MSNOW reports that a teenager detained by ICE had his cell phone confiscated and never returned. After his release, he was able to track the device and learned it had been sold at a phone-for-cash kiosk less than two miles from where he and his father were detained.”

This only works if there is a balance of power and the people are able to hold law enforcement accountable. If we don’t, we get people acting like ICE does. As it stands we are just seeing the Stanford Prison Experiment play out.

If ICE wants to be respected, then they have to play by the rules. They need to tear it down and start again.

ICE doesn't want to be respected. They want an excuse to shoot you. Don't play their Nazi game. The regime has no legitimacy.

Agree 10000% with this take. Even pegging it to Gingrich. Also agree we are in sort of a cold war (at least up to this point). I'm not sure how this ends but we need more than Schumer and Jeffries to do it. The rules and norms are gone now and, not only do we have to undo everything, but set up guardrails that this can't happen again.
