Yes if you do not have proof of citizenship and party affiliation when you are arrested you are illegal. This is why ICE and republicans are able to deport Americans citizens. There are no constitutional rights. Those days are over.

Yes when stupid illiterate MAGA’s cannot understand the difference between Immigration Custom Enforcement under Dept of Homeland Security and LEO under County or Chicago police districts. They are not supposed to be policing protesters or regular civilians but people WITHOUT citizenship or proper documentation. If I went to France without a proper tourist VISA I would be held and sent back home, not beaten, tear gassed, thrown in a cell with no food or aid or murdered. My take someone off the street for no reason in exchange for money from the government or you hold them until they give up information. That’s kidnapping, extortion.

This only works if there is a balance of power and the people are able to hold law enforcement accountable. If we don’t, we get people acting like ICE does. As it stands we are just seeing the Stanford Prison Experiment play out.

If ICE wants to be respected, then they have to play by the rules. They need to tear it down and start again.
