Isn’t that what Democrats did when Charlie Kirk was murdered? Some celebrated and others justified his murder. They didn’t leave any room for his wife and young children to grieve.

Random people on the internet is not the same as the president. Nobody with any actual power did that.

Why is rehab so ineffective? This isn't a matter of money or access. I have a brother like this too, I don't trust him and just hope he doesn't rage out like this some day.

It’s ineffective when people are only doing it out of force. Same as all therapy.

It has to be choice and the person wants to get help. Many mentally ill folks do not want to be on drugs and don't think they need drugs.

Same. My brother just did another stint in rehab this summer. My parents are so hopeful (and footed the bill), my mom constantly talks about how much better he's doing. I want to share her optimism but we've been down this road so many times at this point. Even when rehab is effective for some time, eventually people leave and rejoin society, and lose whatever was working in rehab.

I don't know what the answer is. My brother is a dad and that was sort of when I lost hope -- when he couldn't get it together for his kid, who I know he loves. If not even that will overcome the addiction, I just don't know that anything will.

I've been thinking about my addict/mentally ill brother as well -- he ended up killing himself. That rage can go outward or inward (or both) and whenever he acted out while under the influence, he never really understood why we were so upset the next day. Maybe he literally didn't remember.

Then they need to be locked up and not free to harm others.

Oh sure! Snap! It's so easy to get someone locked up just in case they might do something someday. You clearly have no idea.

This story hits close to home. I fear this everyday with a family friend. Her son is 17 with Asperger’s and impulse control disorder. He is medicated, now homeschooled, and fights his parents everyday physically and runs away to get them upset. Whenever they call 911 to hospitalize, they can’t hold him for over 24 hours because he isn’t suicidal

Mental health is a serious problem that isn’t being resolved with round the clock institutionalization. Nobody wants home care or therapies if the person is irredeemable. I know that’s harsh to say but true

Isn’t that what Democrats did when Charlie Kirk was murdered? Some celebrated and others justified his murder. They didn’t leave any room for his wife and young children to grieve.

Not even close to the same thing. There were some bad actors, but the vast majority of Democrats condemned political violence and expressed sympathy for his family. Plus, Trump is the President of the United States. He SHOULD be held to a higher standard than random internet trolls. Of course we all know that’s a lost cause since he has the impulse control of a toddler.

I might have missed it, but I don't recall Obama or Clinton or Biden issuing a repulsive statement like Don the Con did. If I did miss it, please post a link so I can see that too.

But so many of these Hollywood royalty types have very difficult and troubled children. Brentwood and Pacific Palisades may be the worst places on Earth to have a family.

I went to private school and a lot of rich kids have drug issues. People always forget that drugs are really expensive.

Poor people love drugs too. There are towns in the Midwest and New England completely decimated by fentanyl

That's an interesting revision of history.

Exactly this. Everything is turned around to be about him. 'Are you going to the murdered NG's funeral in WV?' Response: 'Maybe I like it there, and I won big there'.
He is the Deranged one, taking cognitive tests like his temperature.

Who in power went on an unhinged rant about Charlie? Please enlighten us?

You do understand the difference between a sitting president and random @ssh*les on social media, right?!
