Let’s compare SOL scores between classes with high absenteeism and those with low absenteeism. Block scheduling or not… doesn’t matter when kids aren’t showing up to class. |
Absenteeism may be linked to block scheduling (or not) if students skip because they are unable to deal with the longer classes. |
Get a handle on yourself. You can't have a conversation without hurling insults? |
You keep spewing untruths. HB has a lot of English learners. |
Yes they do! What part of this don't YOU understand? |
They do not. In the event a spot opens up it goes to someone on the waitlist |
Yes but I doubt those parents are refugees or undocumented immigrants who just came to the county a month ago. They wouldn’t have been here for the lottery or known how to navigate it. |
Oh I went to an Ivy, and we had a lot of autonomy and they treated us like adults. Was it really different at other schools? |
HB really doesn’t have anyone starting mid year or mid -HS career. The waitlist doesn’t really move, and won’t have ANYONE who just moved from another country, because they would be at bottom of waitlist. |
This is why APS has block scheduling so they can have a low homework reality so kids can focus on sports. |
No it’s for “equity” |
Either way, sports or equity are not problems at HB, so they can afford to drop block. The neighborhood schools need the time in class to magically transform homework into class work. |
Literally the antithesis of adult if you don't know the difference between can and should. It's literally only 50-80 mins of sitting. Are you really that pathetic? |
Too bad APS generally sucks at sports too. |
A lot of slackers and also sped at HB. |
