But Don't Dare Call Them Racists!

To be fair, outside of actual athletes, most men look like dweebs before 30 these days.

You made some excellent points, but this tickled me.

You forgot to put "Christian" in quotes. People like this don't even come close to following the teachings of Jesus. Not even close.

It's pretty common for Christians to mostly ignore the teachings of Jesus.

So many people confuse Christian with Christlike.

Christians are the people who Christ saved from their sins. A Christian can be a Christlike person, but nothing about Christianity makes a Christian Christlike.

Yes and even when demonstrated clear as day including use of slurs and holocaust references, they will still cling to their cult and call us the woke lunatic radicals. I’ve given up on anything getting through to the people who apparently condone horrific racism and misogyny. They don’t care. Just so long as they can feel superior to somebody.

Same, very frustrated with Democrats, but I cannot stomach how the Republican party overlooks this stuff with "whataboutism." As a woman, also cannot stomach how they embrace Christian nationalists like Hesgeth or Kirk who use the bible as an excuse for viewing women as subservient.

PP here. I agree, though truthfully I don’t think that the Democrats are better as far as viewing women as subservient. They just use different language.

But these texts are consistent with the whataboutism language of Republicans (they just dismiss it) and it’s revolting. The lack of concern is horrible.

Yes, which is why I vote for Democrats even though I think they are corrupt, immoral, and hate the US. It’s such an awful choice.

+1 The GOP abandoned conservatism back in the 1990s and adopted trolling and ontological bullying as its core mission.

They remind me of five year olds reveling in being able to eat cookies for breakfast and say All The Naughty Words because the grownups have gone away and nobody can stop them. For them, politics is just a 4chan competition to see who can say the most horrible, transgressive, taboo things.

Politics has became a joke and all about culture wars in this country.

2 of the last three nominees for president were women.
Pro-choice so women can manage their own bodies
Pro child care, so women who want to, can partake in the work place
Pro-equal pay, so women and men earn the same salary for the same work

I could go on, but really not sure how you get to the bolded.

It's when the South took control of the party and suddenly all white people morphed into rednecks.

And now the supreme court is going to over turn the voting rights act which will revert the confederate south to having no diverse representation in congress.

This is off topic for this thread, and you can start a different thread if you are truly interested, but one of the absolutely most distasteful aspects of the modern Democratic Party is that the narrow world view they prescribe and hold is so dogmatic and quasi-religious in nature that they cannot conceive of disagreement. I am an extremely reluctant Democrat voter who believes that Democrats are as much male supremacists as the Republicans. And I am not the only one.

But getting back on track, I can’t vote for Republicans so long as this nonsense is a key part of their party, and it is. It is a bridge too far. So of the awful choices, it is the Democrats at this point.

I mean in fairness they are just being themselves....after all they voted in a "man" who has zero regard for humans especially women/girls. I mean we all know what he's done.
