But Don't Dare Call Them Racists!

Turns out everyone is racist. Oh well, guess it doesn’t need to be taboo anymore.

If you had read the article, you wouldn't have to wait.

"Prominent New York Republicans, including Rep. Elise Stefanik and state Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt, have denounced the chat."

But...that's after the fact. Being leaders who are proactive in defining what are the qualities of good leadership is what is needed. But that would mean denouncing Trump so that is not going to happen.

And they pretend to be offended when dems call them nazis.

Afraid of being called RINOs, but not of being called Nazis. That about sums up today’s GOP

Game Set Match.

And here I was told (by Republicans) that Republicans are doing "politics the right way."

Guys ... I'm starting to think maybe they aren't actually unhappy about antisemitism.

and then, this happened

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy

The phrase "Southern strategy" refers primarily to "top down" narratives of the political realignment of the South which suggest that Republican leaders consciously appealed to many white Southerners' racial grievances to gain their support. This top-down narrative of the Southern Strategy is generally believed to be the primary force that transformed Southern politics following the civil rights era. The scholarly consensus is that racial conservatism was critical in the post–Civil Rights Act realignment of the Republican and Democratic parties, though several aspects of this view have been debated by historians and political scientists

Maybe you'd like to update your history lesson to the last 90 years?

They don't care, they are trying REALLY hard to excuse the racism in the article. Disgusting person who cannot post one time to condemn what was in the article.

Disgusting chat. Widely condemned by Republican groups.
Calling for resignations from those involved.

Kansas GOP really responded with the equivalent of "we have a black friend."

“ BREAKING🚨 Leaked texts of Young Republican leaders around the country show them pushing for Democrats to be thrown in “gas chambers” and their enemies to be “r*ped.”

They consistently referred to gay people as f**gots. They called black people the N word and “watermelon people,” and repeatedly attacked Jews.”

Good. Now don't suddenly rehire them like they did with Edward Coristine, aka Big Balls after he tweeted the same kinds of comments.

Also have to wonder about the parenting that led to this. My 11 year old knows better.

I don't think these condemnations from Young Republican groups are enough in this context. These chats weren't from some random members of Young Republicans. These were the leaders of the group in many states. One of them was running for chair of the national federation, and the group chat was part of his campaign. Surely the much of the rest of the leadership were included on these chats, or knew about them. This has an air of: "I am shocked, shocked to find gambling is going on in here!"
