The entire district mocked him for his comments about "only good teachers work after hours" nonsense. It has nothing to do with the color of his skin and everything to do with his character and (lack of) leadership skills.

If true, wow. He’s been there forever. Thought Murch would be his final job before retirement. Though I think he lives way out in exurban Virginia, maybe he wants to finish his career closer to home.

No intel, but he started when my older (now college kid) was in kindergarten. I assumed it was a five-year-then-retire gig for him, so I was astounded at his longevity. We always liked him. Hope he has a nice retirement.
