Think he has a chance?

Trump is an atheist, so he's not going to heaven, even if there were one.

Literally nothing that he has done or said indicates that he’s an atheist.

Of course not. He's playing religious people. I've never met an atheist who didn't (reluctantly) think Trump was one too.

Not trolling. Atheists don't like to think Trump is an atheist because they don't identify with him at all. Some atheists think all atheists are better than religious people because they figured out that there is no God.

I have never met an atheist who thought he was one.

Nothing he has ever said or done indicates that he's an atheist. You're trolling.

Some atheists think all atheists are better than religious people because they figured out that there is no God. Sorry, but we're not. We're just smarter in that one regard. Otherwise, we can be anything. And Trump does not believe in God. Probably never did.

You're basing that on your feelings, not facts.

I really DGAF what he thinks, but he has said on multiple occasions that he is a Christian and/or believes in god/heaven.

Nothing that he has done or said - literally nothing - has indicated that he doesn't believe in a god.

LOL he doesn't know thing one about Christianity. Not thing one. So I'm not sure what God he believes in really.

Ok. Not a requirement for believing in god.

I mean claiming to be Christian and being the most un-Christlike person in existence is pretty extraordinary.

JD Vance wins the most extreme sacrilege moment, IMO when he claimed Christ said the exact opposite of the message of the parable of the Good Samaritan.

But his words and deeds don’t indicate that he is a Christian either. I can believe he’s agnostic.

His words have indicated that he's a christian. He may not be a "good" christian, but that is how he identifies.

You can believe whatever you want about him, but ZERO things that he has said or done indicate that he's an atheist.

I don’t care what a habitual liar claims about himself. In no way does he embrace or practice the teachings of Christ. He can say he is a Christian, but that doesn’t make it so. He doesn’t attend worship services except for occasional public appearances for politics’ sake. He doesn’t have a spiritual leader. He’s unfamiliar with the Bible. He is a liar and cheat. He does not love anyone else as he loves himself. He does not honor the Commandments. He does nothing to help the least among us. He never repents. He does not seek God’s guidance.

Lee Atwater was a conservative political consultant in the 80s and 90s. He got cancer and on his deathbed, he spoke movingly to colleagues about how much a Living Bible had meant to him. One of them noticed the Living Bible was still wrapped in cellophane and had never been opened. That’s the kind of “Christian” Trump is.

I don’t have to give any credence to how Trump identifies.

You might be shocked to learn that billions of people on earth do believe in god(s) even though they don’t “embrace or practice the teachings of Christ”.

It’s not atheist vs Bible beater. There are other options.

I’m not arguing that he’s an atheist. I’m arguing that he’s not a Christian, even if he claims to be one. I believe he celebrates Christmas and Easter with special foods, decorations and gifts, but no actual worship, study, honoring of Christ or personal reflection. He’s a secular “Christian.”

Ok. Not a requirement for believing in god.

Being familiar with Christianity is not a requirement for believing in God, but it is a requirement for practicing Christianity. He is not a practicing Christian. Putting up Christmas decorations or hosting Easter egg hunts doesn’t make you a practicing Christian. Posing for a photo op with a Bible someone just ran out and bought for you doesn’t make you a practicing Christian. Selling Bibles doesn’t make you a practicing Christian.

No. Not one single action of his indicates that he’s an atheist.

You seem to be under the false impression that believers can do no wrong, only atheists.

Nope.

Hey, FYI, Pope Francis said God's grace extends to athiests who thus can get into heaven, so long as we've lived a good life and engaged in just and charitable actions.

Trumplethinskin is gonna spend a very long time in purgatory, at a minimum.

Many believers (most?) do the same.

Many people believe in god simply because that is how they were raised, not because of any deep spiritual thought.

Only someone who knows literally nothing about Christianity can call Trump a Christian.

This might come as a surprise to some, but he doesn’t need to be a “Christian” to believe in god.

Are you from another planet? Of course Trump is pretending to be a Christian.

e is
His words indicate he is NOT a Christian. He is CONSTANTLY saying -- and doing -- things that are the complete opposite of the teachings of Christ.

Again, atheist vs bible beater aren’t the only two options.

He’s a POS person who believes in god. No one called him a true Christian or whatever.

What is wrong with you? You are having some kind of internal battle about whether Christianity is the only way to believe in God. That is NOT what the thread is about. It is about Trump pretending to be a Christian and wanting to get into heaven. As a Christian.

Not trolling. Atheists don't like to think Trump is an atheist because they don't identify with him at all. Some atheists think all atheists are better than religious people because they figured out that there is no God.

Believing in god and Jesus makes him a Christian.

Everything else is optional.

If he doesn't know anything about Jesus then how can he believe in Jesus? It's clear he does not know Christ. It's clear he had not accepted Christ. If he had,he wouldn't do and say the things he does. That would be impossible.
