Ok. Not a requirement for believing in god. |
I mean claiming to be Christian and being the most un-Christlike person in existence is pretty extraordinary. JD Vance wins the most extreme sacrilege moment, IMO when he claimed Christ said the exact opposite of the message of the parable of the Good Samaritan. |
I’m not arguing that he’s an atheist. I’m arguing that he’s not a Christian, even if he claims to be one. I believe he celebrates Christmas and Easter with special foods, decorations and gifts, but no actual worship, study, honoring of Christ or personal reflection. He’s a secular “Christian.” |
Being familiar with Christianity is not a requirement for believing in God, but it is a requirement for practicing Christianity. He is not a practicing Christian. Putting up Christmas decorations or hosting Easter egg hunts doesn’t make you a practicing Christian. Posing for a photo op with a Bible someone just ran out and bought for you doesn’t make you a practicing Christian. Selling Bibles doesn’t make you a practicing Christian. |
Hey, FYI, Pope Francis said God's grace extends to athiests who thus can get into heaven, so long as we've lived a good life and engaged in just and charitable actions. Trumplethinskin is gonna spend a very long time in purgatory, at a minimum. |
Believing in god and Jesus makes him a Christian. Everything else is optional. |
Can you truly believe in something you know nothing about? How do you know you really believe something if you don’t know what it is? |
There are MANY believers like that. Most aren’t deeply religious. |
Ask that to the millions of believers who just do what they’re told and never question it. |
| They don’t understand the things I say on twitta |
I celebrate Christmas and easter and I'm an atheist. I like the food and the smells and bells. |
Many believers (most?) do the same. Many people believe in god simply because that is how they were raised, not because of any deep spiritual thought. |
Are you from another planet? Of course Trump is pretending to be a Christian. |
What is wrong with you? You are having some kind of internal battle about whether Christianity is the only way to believe in God. That is NOT what the thread is about. It is about Trump pretending to be a Christian and wanting to get into heaven. As a Christian. |
If he doesn't know anything about Jesus then how can he believe in Jesus? It's clear he does not know Christ. It's clear he had not accepted Christ. If he had,he wouldn't do and say the things he does. That would be impossible. |
