That’s factually incorrect. White women were the benefactors of DEI so it has nothing to do with racism. It was implemented because companies realized that very few women and POC were being hired and promoted. Just look at MAGA. |
You sound like Kushner in the first term discovering to his surprise that we had two houses of Congress that had to approve spending. He thought having a Senate as well as a House was redundant and a waste of time. |

Not seeing any concrete examples of MAGA being helped, but the press is filled with stories of Trump supporters losing their family farms, small businesses, and even their spouses when they find out they are the “waste” in the phase “waste, fraud, and abuse.”
The sad fact is that today’s MAGA white male just can’t keep up in a true meritocracy. So many are just confidently mediocre and entitled, can’t be trained, and are a liability around women and POC clients and other employees. Once you see past the bluster they’re done. Trump isn’t going to change that. The only way they can compete against people who are smarter than them and to take their place among the well connected and well born is to get rid of the competition. Which they are working very hard to do. |
I've heard both Kamala Harris and Ketanji Brown Jackson referred to as "DEI hires" by people like you. But which is more racist - the fact that they are the first Black female VP and SC justice respectively, or the fact that nobody who occupied those positions between 1789 and 2021 was a Black female? |

I agree with that. But Black males and females also can't keep up in a true meritocracy. In a true meritocracy, it's going to be Asians on top followed by white women. (Of course I'm generalizing, and there will be stand out white males, star Black males, star Latinx, etc. But in general, Asians are smarter and harder working than the rest. White women were up and coming the last two decades, as we have removed some glass ceilings, though they've faltered a bit as they've increasingly turned conservative.) |
I truly refuse to believe that. Asians do well because education is important to them. And, if they're recent immigrants, they most likely come from wealthy educated families in their home country. In my kids FFx Cty elementary school, (not near McLean or Langley) parents could care less about science fairs or homework since most of them were just getting by or didn't know the language. For many, the school system's job was to teach, not the parents. The dwindling non-poor population was mainly focused on sports. |

This is so weird. That is already what we do for college except there are essays as well. Is it the essays that you want to do away with. We can get rid of the race and gender boxes as well as far as I am concerned as other countries do not have them. |
No, they don't. Only the Ivys and a few others require test scores. There was a girl featured on NPR a few years back who admitted to scoring an 18 on the ACT so didn't submit her score but still got into Emory. Emory's 25th % is at least a 29. If she was close, fine. But she wasn't even close. Colleges should go back to requiring test scores (all attempts should be submitted). Required essays should be proctored. Race and gender should not be available. And, state colleges should favor state applicants. No bumps for sports or legacy. |

Colleges are going back to requiring test scores, making admission decisions based on quantitative factors such as standardized test scores and GPA instead of a racial check box. Employers are doing standardized testing as part of the application process since everyone now graduates with a 3.8 or higher because woke universities only give out A and A- grades. Companies are more productive because less time is being spent on DEI training. So society as a whole is benefitting from the anti-woke, anti-DEI movement. |
What you just wrote is racist and bigoted against working class white men as a group. You are proving that white men are being targeted for their race and gender. You are proving the need to help that specific group with policies that give them a boost just like other racial groups that face discrimination. Well done. |
