Did anyone say the Washington Bullets? |

Such memories in this thread...
We had not just a People's Drug, but a People's Drug with an Erols Video inside! Montgomery Donuts - I heard someone is trying to revive the brand, but in VA of all places. I can still picture the gift wrap Lowen's used. |
| We had Kemp Mill records and Waxie Maxies -- those were our record stores. I love the idea of a Farrell's Facebook page. Maybe there is one. |

What about going to the original O'Donnel's restaurant in Bethesda and getting to go with the server to pick out a treasure from the treasure chest.
Also, remember that line at the Hot Shops Cafeteria in Wheaton? Man, that was a wait but the roast beef and mashed potatoes were worth it. Also, remember the creepy bathroom down the stairs in the basement? Remember the firemen's parade in Wheaton? It always ended up in Wheaton Plaza? Loved the petting zoo at Wheaton Regional. I remember getting bit by a duck. And the train (which is still there). But when we were little everyone would scream their heads off when it went through the tunnel. And the playground. All those awesome metal pieces of equipment with bolts and some were at least 2 stories high. There was that one really tall thing and you would climb a ladder straight up through a tunnel and there were like 5 slides to get back down. God forbid someone slipped in that thing because it would take like 10 kids out at once. The rock hard ground covered in gravel? If you fell your parents had to pick gravel out of your knees. |
| High's icecream! Their rainbow sherbert was the best. The didn't stand a chance when the slurpie came out though.... |
| Food For Thought in Dupont Circle. Mary Chapin Carpenter used to play there just for tips. |
