| Sorry, MISS those days. |
| Morton's Crazy Days- TV commercial |
Man, those were the days! I loved 5th Column and Tracks! |
| Open air concerts at Fort Dupont; strawberry pie from that place on F Street; The Wax Museum; Sholl's Cafeterias!! |
| The Wheel-A-While roller skating rink in Rockville was the place to be! |
|
oh I feel old ... like the rest of you!
Immaculata -- sniff sniff -- my alma mater. Duke Zeiberts - The Sans Souci - the Jocky Club. Houlihans lunch with my grandmother and then shopping at Woodies. |
| Going to the HFStivals in the 90s! |
and the ginsu knife |
Yes, Quigleys was great! I specifically remember going there one night and dancing to the song OPP by Naughty by Nature! |
| Wow -- I haven't thought of some of these places in years! 5th Column, talk about a blast from the past. And how I miss WHFS. Local radio is so, so bad now People's Drug, Roy Rogers, the duck bowling place on Route 1 in Alexandria, when the only restaurants in Old Town were overpriced tourist traps... |
| Oh, and who could forget the Redskins' "Posse:" Art Monk, Gary Clark and Ricky Sanders. |
|
When "The Diane Rehm Show" was local and called "Kaleidoscope."
Derek McGinty on WAMU (oh I miss him, he was so smart and funny) -- not the same on TV Going downtown to see the Christmas displays in the Windows of Woodies. and yes Sholls Cafeteria, going to the Mormon Temple on a tour in the 6 weeks before it opened. Union Station when it was just for trains and people parked inside of the station. |
| Gosh PP, Brad Bishop. What a horrible thing and they have never caught him. I was at Pyle Junior High when that happened. |
|
Okay, who remembers,
"Nobody bodders me!" "Nobody bodders me either!" *big wink* ?? |
someone said this already. Anyone remember Club Soda? |
