| I grew up in the Pentagon City area and I remember when you could just walk into the Pentagon to visit the mall inside (yes, a mall with stores smack dab in the middle of the Pentagon!). No security checks, no nothing! |
I grew up in Bethesda and you used to be able to drive into Naval Medical (now Walter Reed) to go to the McDonald’s. I also learned to drive on the roads all over NIH on the weekends when they were empty. |
