Pratt (CS) is moving now.

Surprised to see schools like CMC, Haverford, Davidson and Colby going to WL so early. Those are pretty selective schools.

WashU was kind of surprising too. They are pretty popular. Did they under admit in RD?

I heard a rumor that WashU routinely under-admits in RD on purpose, and makes heavy use of the waitlist—often using the we-will-offer-you-a-position-but-only-if-promise-in-advance-that-you-will-accept technique. That way they can manipulate the rankings by artificially reducing their acceptance rate and increasing their yield rate. Pretty sh*tty if true. Hopefully it’s not.

Any other new waitlist movement? Is there a thread keeping track here?

My friend’s son gave up Brown and Williams for Yale.

Stop/ no one has gotten off that WL yet. Was a stupid rumor.

Duke went to the waitlist yesterday at 4pm for the engineering school. At least 5 off on Reddit.

No movement at Trinity (arts and sciences) yet.
