Sounds a lot like what Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank endure.

If you dig into this, there is a ton of myth in the claims about white farmers being targeted. Number of victims are grossly inflated (in one period of time in 2017 400 farm murders of white people were claimed, but there were 74 total murders in the region cited). Murders on small rural homesteads on the edges of towns and cities (as opposed to actual farms for commercial ag production) are included.

From what I have seen, the murder rate of whites is no higher than for anyone else in South Africa.

This is, of course, inflammatory by Trump. But once again his opponents walk right into the trap.

All that sanctimonious preaching about American values of immigration, welcoming the stranger etc…, and all down the toilet over what appears to be 50 young and middle aged Afrikaners. When it is an out of favor class of refugee we now get into hyper technical definitions of what constitutes a refugee and the Episcopalians are now out of the refugee game because what? The history of apartheid must be held against these people who probably had nothing to do with it? LOL.

Next, Trump should offer AfD Germans and Brits who are going to jail for speech crimes political asylum. The left will be against refugee programs before he finishes his press conference announcing the program.

This is not the Killing Fields. It's not. More people are murdered in Chicago in a year and don't get refugee status if they want to move out of the city due to safety concerns.
