Farming requires equipment and infrastructure, along with loans and banks want guarantees.
If you do not make money, you cannot farm.
The government provides a lot of support in the USA to its farmers. It is not like that in Africa.
Farming used to be labor intensive and it used to employ a lot of people, it is not like that anymore.

So if you take someone’s farm, take the loans that go with it.
The farmers are no longer investing in fertilizer and are not going to plant seed if they receive notice of expropriation. They are not going to pay to repair or maintain equipment or tractors or sprinkler systems.
The new owner who has been gifted the farm is not going to be able to get loans from any bank since he cannot even use the farm as collateral.
Oh, the new owner doesn’t have experience running a modern day commercial farm or a degree in agriculture

That is exactly what happened when Zimbabwe confiscated farmland (but only from white farmers) and gave it away to Black “war veterans” who all subsequently failed at farming.

Zimbabwe went from being “the breadbasket of Africa” to near-starvation; it still relies of food aid to this day.

One last thing about land and maths, there is the exhaustively cited argument that whites “stole our land”. That might be a historical fact, but it’s also an actual fact that around 60% of SA farm land is currently debt financed. What that tells you is that the current generation of SA farmers generally bought their farms; they are not hand-me-downs from three centuries ago. But in some ways, and more importantly, if their land is rendered worthless by the state confiscating land without compensation, then what happens to the debt? Then there is a good chance you have a real financial crisis on your hands.

No, he loves the whites and possibly right wing, like the Afrikaaners. Do you remember when he said in his first term that he wanted more immigrants from Norway and not from s$ithole countries? He was talking about legal immigrants.
