The country should not have required affirmative action laws if it had been a welcoming and equal opportunity country. Michelle’ an after, like my grandfather, fought in the War, but not allowed to access the GI Bill. Black population were charged higher interest rates and redlined to specific areas to live. Heck they were doing that same mess in 2001, when I sought my first mortgage. I was fortunate and knew how to combat mortgage discrimination. Generational wealth and opportunity lost.

And for your information, AA, only gets you an audience because the field was never remotely equal. That supposedly Affirmative Action admit (race, athlete, legacy, musician, gender, geographical location) is taking chem 101 just like the other students and is required to pass and maintain a certain gpa for continued admittance. That’s something you and others of your ilk fail to comprehend. Btw, I have personally never encountered an AA hire in my entire career. I have come across programs where schools are targeted for recruitment of more women and underrepresented minorities for interviews. It is giving them an opportunity to get to the table for consideration.
