2024: annus horribilis for Iran and its proxies

This is Joe Biden’s foreign policy legacy. Nice one, Joe.

Nobody seems to know.
Perhaps in Russia or Iran.

Lots of Syrians will take a conservative Islam-based government if it means they can see their families again freely. Even Syrian Christians had their boys flee in order to avoid being conscripted into Assad’s military. Those adolescent boys are now men.

Biden helped strike a major blow to Russia and Iran!

Thanks Joe!

Wonder if he knows that the best accommodations in high rises should not have windows….

Russian news reporting that Assad is alive and well in Moscow.

He’s in Moscow. His wife is a British citizen by birth but they’re obviously persona non grata there.

Wow she is accomplished and beautiful. Wonder if she regrets the life she gave up for… whatever is coming

“ Assad graduated from King's College London in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in computer science and French literature. She had a career in investment banking and was planning to begin an MBA at Harvard University when she married Bashar al-Assad in December 2000. She resigned from her job in investment banking following the wedding and remained in Syria, where their three children were born. ”

Obviously the US Gov wanted to get rid of Assad and his Russian and Iranian backers.

Turkey was also backing HTS.

Will country remain divided between HTS controlled and SDF (US backed Kurdish) controlled?

What is next? Does the US have a plan to overthrow Iran regime too? Putin?

That’s pretty odd that the US is assisting a guy that they have a $10M bounty on. It wasn’t that long ago that Al-qaeda and ISIS were the boogeymen, now they’re allies. albeit in different form. What an effed up world. I can’t help but think this is part of a decades long effort to redraw the ME, starting with 9/11. Or maybe earlier.

Meh, she chose poorly. She literally married a brutal dictator who had people tortured. She knew all about it. Her morals are awful. Now she’ll live under house arrest in Moscow unless Putin decides to give them up for something in return. She now literally a pawn, to be trader or sacrificed as Putin sees fit.

I bet it feels awful to feel so powerless.

He’s not inherently a bad guy either really, he didn’t want any part of this. His brother was next in line and a horrible guy like his dad, but he was assassinated. He had hoped to be a doctor.

She doesn’t regret anything, according to the author who did a Vanity Fair piece on her. She loved all the money and power.

At least they’re alive, which is more than can be said of their countless victims.
