Why do atheists post on the Religion forum?

You prove my point: hens are not taught to sit on its eggs, but humans must be taught to go to church.

Hens have the information to build a nest and sit on eggs implanted in itself, no “egg sitting” college degree required.

It is true I am Christian because my family is Christian. Were I born in Saudi Arabia I almost certainly would be a Muslim because I will have been brainwashed via the Koran that Jesus is not the son of God who forgives sins.

Jesus said he and God are one, and that no one comes to God except by him. So, that means no Buddhist, Muslim, Jew, Hindu nor any other religion that claims a path to heaven are speaking lies and are as Jesus said they are, thieves and murderers attempting to enter the sheepfold by another way other than Jesus, who said he is the door to enter the sheepfold.

Are you saying that the Muslims would have brainwashed you into believing their way, but the Christians have not? or are you saying that all religion is a form of brainwashing?

I wish I had known about this forum when I was first questioning religion. It would have been very helpful to know that there are seemingly intelligent, good-humored and logical people who have rejected religion.

This is one of the few places that I feel free to discuss atheism. Being religious is the default position in the US, even though recent studies indicate that fewer people these days are religious.

If that were what the atheists on this forum were, that would be great. I'd love to be challenged to think deeply.

What I mostly read is angry, combative people spewing misinformation and shouting "That's not rational!"

Well, you are not going to get any, because it is unwarranted, and religion and religious people have shown they do not deserve it, and that in fact people are being harmed every day because the rest of us tolerate this bronze age bullsh*t.
