You cannot have government demand a producer or service provider sell a product at a certain price, with a certain quality, and a certain amount (number of items).

A producer at a certain point will declare you have won the argument, and then they will move out of state or offshore to greener pastures and give up on your market.

That leads to shortages, less competition and higher prices as the state realizes no one wants to play their games anymore and has run all the producers out.

Bureaucrats who have never been in the private sector and think they can rule the market by fiat are the worst at pushing this horseshit.

It's exactly what destroyed the Soviet economy and the economies of the iron-curtain countries, North Korea, Cuba and others. It has failed everywhere it has been tried.

Trump lost over 100,000 manufacturing jobs on his watch. Biden has captured over 300,000 on the way to 800,000 manufacturing jobs since he took office. There are other factors at play.

Lie.

Yes. Harris is saying that billionaires and corporations should have higher marginal tax rates.

What is your objection?

Her response to the questions suggest that she thinks she can raise taxes unilaterally without congress voting on it.

She is assuming that she will have a Dem house and Sen Senate.

Face it, for whoever wins, the likelihood of a trifecta is pretty strong.
No, the odds of a trifecta is not strong. The senate is almost guaranteed to go Republican because Manchin will be replaced with a republican. Dems have to keep all of the other seats and win Ohio or Montana. This is not likely to happen.

I guess you haven't see recent polling in the senate.

Biden created 818,000 new jobs... until those employment revisions came out.

You democrats are not trustworthy.

Trump is an old white man with cognitive decline and a history of irrational actions and hateful words. He has no plan.

So obviously Americans are torn.

Oh yes, he has no plan. That's why every time you turn around, Harris is taking parts of his plan. Because he has no plan.

He's only been in the construction and real estate industry for fifty years and was president from 2017-2021, but he has NO plan. Uh huh.

His plan:
-strip away women's healthcare rights
-raise tariffs costing consumers at least 20% increases
-impose a VAT which will raise taxes by $4,000 for the average American household
-deport 11 million workers, irrespective of immigration status - this will increase the cost of labor which is passed on to consumers
-cede Ukraine to Russia, opening the door for a wider war in Europe
-Throw the Palestinians under the bus, and let his son in law develop beachfront property in Gaza
-install thousands of "loyalists" in the federal government, expertise be damned.
- takeover the military and use it against Americans on our city streets

Take him at his word, no one will need to vote in 2028.

What is Harris’ plan? She refuses to outline her policies for the American people. And she’s been in office for more than 3.5 years, why hasn’t she implemented her so-called plans already?

The 82 page plan has been posted in this thread, twice. she has outlined it in speeches and interviews.

Lie.

Instead of just saying that, can you post a graph or a website that shows differently?
That's how you persuade people that your facts are correct.

None of what you suggest is Trump's plan is specifically mentioned in his platform from his campaign website. Trump is awful and shouldn't be anything close to president ever again. We all know this. Exaggerating the awfulness of some of his platform makes us look life desperate MSNBC watching idiots. Harris is clearly the better choice and she'll win. Your nut job exaggerations only serve the purpose of turning off the moderate/independent swing voters that we need. Be cool. Settle down. We got this.

Why is he railing on and on in every speech about tariffs then? Does he even know what’s in “his platform from his campaign website”?

Lie.

It is a lie that Trump lost 100,000 manufacturing jobs because he lost 200,000 manufacturing jobs.

She's trying to play it safe, and let Trump lose. But she's not giving much to the people who know Trump is a moron but are voting for party/cabinet not the person. I think that's why she's not winning.

She put out 82 pages of specific economic proposals. It’s not as long a Project 2025 but there’s a lot there, check it out.

I don't care about hopes, dreams and aspirations. I care about the mechanics of HOW it works.

She wants to democratic local control zoning and allow developer greed to dictate community decisions “This will be a results-driven innovation fund with one core requirement: state and local governments must show that they will deliver results in building rental properties and homes that are affordable.” This is a Trojan horse political issue and suburban voters need to be aware of the plan. HUD will be forcing suburbs to build high density apartments buildings that will cause school overcrowding and decimate local government budgets.

Not dictate, incentivize. There is a difference. If states or counties do not want the federal money, then they don't have to adhere to the guidelines. It is no different than Ronald Reagan tying federal highway funds to the drinking age, and you probably didn't have an issue with a RINO like Reagan doing that, right?

Linking highway funds is to the drinking age laws is legal because it fall under the interstate commerce clause. Overriding local zoning with HUD funding restrictions is illegal in a post-chevron world. This authority was not specifically delegated to the government agencies by congress and it also would be unconstitutional to interfere with local government decisions about land use because there is no reasonably plausible nexus to interstate commerce.
