Hope he does! A 30min later start time for HS would be better for this age group. Even a 20min later start time would help!

No, it would cause a lot of issues with buses and after school activiites.

No it would not cause issues with buses and activities if they moved all three school levels' start time 20min later. After school activities could become before school activities.

Start times for HS have already changed with lack of bus drivers and buses doing double HS runs. First run is now earlier.

Then drive your own kids, have them go to bed earlier, nap after school... lots of options.

Email Taylor to request later HS start times. He claims that he reads all his emails. The more people who email the better

Sorry, can’t as we are not privileged or wealthy. But, yet we make it work. Parent drops off kids before going to work as no buss. Since it’s an early start time it’s possible. See how that works.

Most people start work between 8-9. And, that is all the more reason to start HS earlier.

Not necessarily at all MCPS schools. All the more reason to restart the discussion with a new Superintendent.

Mine just take the county bus. So many people seem so helpless, but it's easy to find solutions to these problems for anyone who cares to try.

Nah, the matter was settled a few years ago. There are more pressing issues.

That is back, again. Ugh.

The good thing is, the listening sessions are all recorded and uploaded to MCPS's YouTube channel. So if you miss one, you can always watch them later.

Here are the Poolesville and Rockville sessions:

That's great if your job lets you start later, but most people in the real world start much earlier than you. AND, MCPS has a 2 mile bus rule for HS, so a lot of parents who can do drive if they don't get buses.
