Maybe this PP is talking about Monifa? She got a big pay out and then got promoted to a cushy job at UMD, after leaving MCPS in shambles.
You can hate on Dr. McKnight all you want, but, MCPS was in shambles way before her.
She was a huge part of the problem, but the BOE is an equally big part of the problem. She inherited a mess, did nothing, and left it a bigger mess. The BOE scapegoated her (probably with good cause but still)... they need to be held accountable now.
I know! She used her time machine to create these problems decades ago.
Her job was to fix the problems, regardless of whether they were already in place or created during her tenure. She didn't do that, and in fact made things worse.
Her brief tenure was spent mostly defending against the constant attacks from the Karens who post here. They seemed to be against her from day 1 and never gave her a chance. Some speculate it was because she was an AA woman.
You're never going to convince us that Monifa was some victim in her downfall from MCPS. She failed. Own it.
Move on. To state otherwise really strips her own agency and whether you realize it or not, that is actually just as bad. If you believe she is a competent, capable leader, then you also can't simultaneously portray as a helpless, powerless victim. She could and should have done things better and differently, but she didn't. That's fine. Life goes on.
