Do you really think fashion has nothing to do with politics? Whether you're a man or a woman? |
Totally agree on this. I was really upset with whoever in Biden's circle was encouraging all his Botox. I think it gave him that permanent vacant or confused look because you can't move your eyes really, and also took away what used to be a very charming, disarming grin he had. Melania has the same Botox problem -- it's one of the reasons people make jokes that she always looks so pissed off (which maybe she is), but her face is frozen into that vaguely confused stare that you get with too much Botox around the eyes and mouth. Anyway, I think Kamala looks great, but I also think that talking about candidate fashion is fair game. With Trump his "fashion" was a big part of his look -- that overlong tie, the shlumpy pants that were too baggy and too long, etc. Maybe it helped him with his base (?), but it definitely contributed to his look as being slightly crazed and like a "get off my lawn!" grandpa. Trump was also basically incapable of wearing anything other than the suit or a golf outfit (which looks even worse on him, as it always looks two sizes too small). Biden and Obama both always had effortless style where they looked professional and also casual at the same time, and it was definitely part of their appeal. I remember even during the Gore campaign, people talked about his dumb brown suits and whether they made him look less rich-preppy, or just like he was trying to hard to look approachable. |
Yes, but they don't fit anymore, always too big. I think it is the vest. |
I actually love her top! |
Please do tell...remember only men and their fashion choices.. |
What? She’s a person in the public eye. Of course she’s fair game to discuss - fashion and otherwise. |
Raise away. We will ignore you as you have no leg to stand on. |
+1 The boxy jackets are truly unflattering. |
Hopefully she pulls out her Converse this election season and keeps wearing those Converse during her first term. Why should she have to walk EVERYWHERE including down those slippery plane steps in heels? |
Looks great! |
| I don't like her and won't vote for her but she is beautiful. I too am glad she isn't over botoxed like Whitmer. I want my politicians to look seasoned. |
I feel like we must be talking about two different people. The KH I see has great classic jackets that are always nipped in at the waist -- I figure she must get them tailored to fit so well. She has a big bust (or at least not a small one) so it's always going to be a little wide across the top. She also has hips. So maybe it's curves you're seeing? |
JL Dreyfuss on Veep and Robin Wright on House of Cards had great wardrobes. Maybe she can borrow some of their stuff.

I think I already said this in this thread (or was it another) -- I ADORE the Veep clothes, but JLD is a tiny little person that is probably a size zero. What works for her is not going to work for KH, who is curvy and athletic build. Also, if you google any of the actual JLD outfits, they are incredibly expensive (which is possibly why they look so great). Maybe KH has that kind of coin, but I suspect she would get a lot of flack if people found out she was wearing a $6,000 dress or a $2,000 shirt to a campaign rally. JLD probably also had a custom tailor and a whole staff of people for the show that adjusted everything -- not sure that's practical for a politician on the move. I think KH does really, really great for a working woman who is flying around the country giving on her feet rallies. (I would not be wearing heels if I were her, that's for sure!) |
| she seems To be polling better since she switched her facial expression to an infinite smile---Kudos to her PR people. |
