Ok. Another university to add to my company’s no hire list.

Many people will go their whole lives without being affected by abortion. It's important, but it's abstract for a lot of people, and more philosophical.

What's happening in Gaza — what we've all seen with our eyes — is far from abstract. Anyone with a pulse can see that it is wrong. And if our government and those in power can justify this, and send billions of our money to fund it, while the people are screaming that they don't want it, there's a big problem.

Really think about that. Our government, full of politicians sucking at the teat of AIPAC, is sending insane amounts of tax payer money, against the will of the majority of those tax payers, to fund a genocide, so some wealthy white colonial settlers can have more beach front property and a new canal.

So we've learned that our government is fully willing to sell out it's own citizens for foreign money, fully willing to support genocide when it makes fiscal and political sense, AND it's willing to jail, threaten, and likely kill dissenters.

Personally, if you're not protesting, I'm not sure what *would* be enough to motivate you to action.

Did you vote for Biden?

I did. I won't be this time.

+1. The biggest voting regret of my life.

Watch. You’ll learn. You seem new to how this goes.

I have a very good idea how it’s going to be on college campuses this Fall. And it’s not going to be calm, like the PP implied.

Yes, it will. This is a springtime “I’ve finished my finals” activity. You’re beyond naive to think otherwise.

Or oh shit I haven't been studying all semester and need to get out of taking my finals.

Yes, exactly. This is all about getting out of Finals.

Emory U. Brutal. Is this overreaction? Looks that way to me.
But whatever your politics, some advice:
DO NOT try to interfere with officers making an arrest
and if you did (as the professor says) “act impulsively and poke an officer on the head”
you have a RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT…. DO NOT confess on camera….This professor isn’t very smart…

The professor is going to be mortified when she sees herself on video. The Pissing Professor.

She openly admitted she was interfering in an arrest and she physically touched the police office while he was in process of arresting a protestor.

Everyone’s point of view depends on which news source you listen to. Cable media will have you believe the students are out of control antisemites while social media tells us these protesters are peaceful. So I asked my niece who attends one of these universities. She is not protesting and has no skin in the game. She told me that the protesters are by far peaceful students. She walked all over campus and did not hear one word of harassment to any Jews. In fact many Jews are protesting themselves. She did not stay around when police came and heard from friends that they were unfairly targeting students. So there you have it. I am going to believe my niece over anything I hear on TV. I urge you all to talk to people firsthand before believing anything you hear on TV or social media.

Mostly peaceful protests, yes. But what cause are the students espousing? They want Palestine to be free and for Israelis to ... what? Go somewhere else? That's not a peaceful desire.

Holy shite, your niece is unfortunately about to be pilloried as a pro-Hamas terrorist, and worse.

There is zero room for anything other than blind, unconditional fealty to Emporer Netanyahu and support of Israel all up in here.

These college students are furious with their universities for their investment/support of anything related to Israel.

The students should divest themselves and withdraw from the universities if they are truly serious.

So nice of you to offer to fund for their college education. When should we expect the check from you?
