Has the relative importance of humor v. physical appearance remained fairly constant as you've gotten older? I've always been funny, but I only felt like women were attracted to that as I got into maybe my later twenties. When I was in high school, it seemed like the girls were chasing the jocks.

There are any number of possible variables, so I don't want to make too much of my experience; but I feel like some of the dynamic has to do with women's tastes in men changing as they matured.

I don’t think there’s any way for a woman to know (even if they care) if you’re not a shower.

It’s not always the most handsome or most wealthiest guys who land quality women.

A sense of humor can do wonders.

Look at Pete Davidson for example.

He’s funny as hell & can get any girl he (and everyone else wants!!)

I think some people just have “it”. African American men for example I have seen them get some of the most gorgeous woman (of any race) say compared to Asian men for example.

Guy here. I'm a major nerd, but can make my highly attractive DW laugh - a lot. She thinks i'm hilarious.

I've also always been determined to get ahead in life (which has largely come to fruition). I'm sure my wife would not have settled for someone lazy and unmotivated since she is neither!

A lot of it is confidence. I think a capacity to just easily and comfortably talk to women as people goes a very long way. Yes on focusing in on them and listening. Being able to maintain a fun, interesting conversation (which takes confidence) is highly attractive. My husband is like this and my attracton to him was immediate. He was cute, engaging, had a great laugh, and nearly immediately he felt like family and we had an easy vibe. It made me feel special. Now, 28 years later I can see that it really wasn't me at all, this is how he is with nearly everyone, from my ninety two year old neighbor to a customer service rep on the phone. It's something around charm and being real, open, relatable. Pete Davidson has it, absolutely. It's very attractive, maybe it's just a form of extroversion or just a great comfort level with women overall, I'm not sure.

Go to Eastern Europe. Don’t hang out with the typical mail order brides (fake lips, insta look etc) but seek out smart women there. You wil get tons of attention as a foreigner.

I have a twin brother and both of us are just average looking, and I am generous. We have played D1 college sport and played musical instruments, piano and guitar, since the age of five. Both of us dated so many people in college and after college. I will say this: 1- an average looking guy like a five will become an eight if he plays D1 sport; 2- he will jump from an eight to a 10 if he can play either piano or guitar; 3- he will jump from 10 to off the chart if he can sing and make a lot of money, in addition to 1 & 2. It is about what you can bring to the table.
