900 Carjackings in DC this year!!!

Anonymous
This man was in town for work, from MA. He appears to have been carjacked, murdered and body dumped.

MPD has a plan to protect us!

Are certain vehicles being carjacked more than others? Or doesn’t it matter if it’s just a joyride?

By law, they are entitled to “youthful offender” status, and understandably treated differently when they slip up. Everyone makes mistakes. Youthful offender goes up to age 26 in DC.

Don’t you want to give children a second chance?

Nope not when they are engaged in violent crimes

Like I literally just don't care

Locking ppl up LT does stop them from committing crimes and provides some deterrence

How's all this light / no sentencing working out?

Jesus Christ. Listen to yourself. You want to sentence kids to long-term prison sentences. You are lacking a serious mental compass.
ANd are an example of the depths of sh--- this country is sinking to.

Violent 25 year olds are not kids

They are kids until they reach the age of 26. Before that their brains aren't fully formed. I'm sorry, but that's just basic science.

People (or bots?) who say this are grossly misrepresenting the science. A lingering tendency toward impulsiveness in young adults should not mean that murder and mayhem go unpunished. On the contrary, if they haven't learned the difference between right and wrong by age 26, facing the consequences of their actions would seem to be the only way to teach them.

The fact that the suggestion is to be aware of my surroundings in my locked car at every red light is just too much for me. I never thought we’d move but the writings on the wall.

I read that drivers in some parts of Brazil roll through red lights to prevent carjacking.

So let me get this straight just so I'm clear - Dem logic is that people do not have fully formed brains until they're 26 years old, therefore they shouldn't face the full wrath of the law when they commit crime because they make poorer choices due to yet to be fully mature brains?

Funny! Yet Dems keep demanding gender affirming care for 12 year old who think they're trans? And they want to confuse their sexuality while they have impressionable young minds? Pray tell, of people younger than 26 don't have fully developed brains and shouldn't face full consequences for crime, then why should we have gender affirming care that can permanently alter a person's health when they're 12 years old? The latter has a mature enough mind now to determine that? You can't have it both ways!

Same with:

You can join the army at 18 and die for the US but aren’t allowed to drink until 21. Okay.

And voting too. If some people are claiming that a guy can’t be expected to know not to commit violent crimes until they’re 26 then I sure hope those same people are petitioning to raise the legal voting age!

If you remain in D.C., may the odds ever be in your favor.

Parts of Baltimore and DC too.

The federal government needs to start offering a danger differential for DC.
