I think it's embarrassing.

Her lips are so awful. Her nose/eyes look fine in a plasticky, very made-up way. Pretty even. Her lips look bad and the angle and expression exacerbates how bad they look. I honestly hope a lot of women in their 30s and 40s look at this photo and recognize that if she just had regular 53-year-old lips in the photo, it would look better. Yes, she'd look 53. But guess what? She still looks 53! She just looks like a 53 year old who had a lot of fillers and other crap done to her lips to make them look gross. It is not an improvement.

I'm 43 and I'm determined to just accept some puckering, wrinkling around my mouth and focus instead on good skincare without the procedures because I don't want to look this stupid.

The level of seriousness and drama is embarrassing, too. Maybe if the setting was more natural for them (getting out of a helicopter on a rooftop, sitting in a posh house, etc.), it would seem more natural. But this "windswept on the plains in an old pickup" look is so obviously co-splay that their serious expressions really make me cringe. If there was even just the hint of self-awareness there, like "we know we're playing dress up here," it would make me like them more. Instead it makes me feel sorry for them.

The same thing that drove him to get rich enough to have everything -- a pathological level of insecurity, just a bottomless pit of need for love and validation that will never, ever be filled.

I don't think that describes every billionaire, but it's definitely true of Bezos, Zuck, probably Murdoch. I don't really see it in Gates or Buffet. I think Gates has other issues but actually feels perfectly good about himself. I think Buffet has rock solid self confidence and is unflappable.

I bet being around guys like Buffet make men like Bezos feel even worse about themselves.

It’s a vogue photo shoot, they’re literally playing dress up. That’s why it looks like they’re playing dress up. I don’t understand that objection.

DP. I don’t think they will go the distance. Rate of divorce for second marriages is sky high. They also don’t seem to have a ton in common besides, according to this article, day drinking and trying to ingratiate themselves to Hollywood phonies. But I can’t see her ever going broke or writing a crazy tell all.
