Axelrod Biden should drop out of 2024

I don't care how great he might be even my kids laugh at him. Nobody mid 80s should be POTUS. And nobody that supports him to be has any brains. Think about it. The guy could drop dead with all that stress at any time. Can you imagine his daily schedule?

And we'll be fine with who he has appointed around him as well as his VP. I mean, what's the alternative? A guy who is also showing cognitive decline, has 91 indictments against him, fomented an insurrection, has been convicted in a civil court of rape, acknowledged widespread fraud in his trial this week, assumed COVID would be a blue state problem and botched any kind of nationwide response, and had 91% cabinet turnover including 14 secretaries resign in four years: https://www.statista.com/chart/15071/how-does-trumps-turnover-compare-to-other-presidents/, and the kicker, put in a conservative Supreme Court that overturned Roe v. Wade. So, uh, yeah, I don't see the guy who called Milly a traitor, has no platform but to go after his enemies, and wanted to nuke hurricanes as a viable alternative.

So, yeah, complain all you like about biden, but IMHO, he's the only show in town.

Michelle Obama?

Gary Newsom?

Jamie Raskin?

No (AA woman)

No (CA gov, the pinko, LOL)

No (a Jewish House member)

None of them could win a national election

And yet, he has been to two war zone, about 16 time zones and all over the country just in the past 5 months.

He seems to be up to the task at the moment. yes, that can change, but he is actually doing the job right now.

Concern troll.

Biden is the Democratic nominee. Now fight the Republicans who want to put a criminal, rapist, traitor in office or get the hell out of the way.

No he is not.

He is. Quit whining about it, dust yourself off, and get in the fight against the GOP. There is work to be done.

You sound like the kind of person who will be surprised when voters insisting they don’t want Biden don’t vote for Biden

There is nothing that can be done about such voters. They don't have a plan - only complaints. The magical Democratic nominee replacement fairy isn't going to seamlessly swap out the incumbent President with a record of real-world successes for some ideal replacement who is going to sweep the Democrats to victory. Biden won the Democratic primary in 2020 because he was more appealing than the other Democratic alternatives. Is there a Democrat on the scene now who didn't lose to Biden in 2020?

So, the only thing that can be productively done at this point is accept Biden as the Democratic nominee and start the fight to beat Republicans in 2024.

Newson would get my vote.

Of course Trump isn’t a viable alternative, and yet to about half of the country, he is. It’s scary, honestly. I don’t pretend to know what the answer is, but there’s a lack of confidence in the Biden-Harris ticket and that should worry Dems.

Also a primary is out of the question.
Axelrod and others writing these type of articles on behalf of the Megadonors and party powers that be to convince Biden to quit the candidacy on his own, with some dignity intact.

Axelrod didn;t support Biden in 2020.
Removing Harris tells what, exactly to women of color heading to the voting booth?

That the DNC recognizes that, while a Black woman as POTUS or VPOTUS is/was long overdue, not just any Black woman will satisfy us. It also says that the DNC is finally OK making uncomfortable decisions for the greater good of saving democracy.

As a Black woman, I’d take Buttigieg, Newsome, Ossoff, Warnock, Whitmer, or several other Democrats over Biden or Harris.

There is nothing wrong with Harris from a policy position. She is fully qualified to be president. Certainly moreso than Trump was.

DP. I have no problem with Harris from a policy perspective and would vote for her any day over Trump. I wasn’t fully on board with her being the VP nominee in 2020 because she was not a great campaigner/debater, and just didn’t have a track record of doing much during her short time in the Senate. If it had not been for George Floyd, I think Biden would have picked someone else (like Klobuchar).

Look at who he has surrounded himself with though. There've been no scandals. The Secretaries are competent and they've been thrown enormous challenges, especially in foreign affairs. And right now, they're implementing all of the bills he got passed in the last two years (Infrastructure/CHiPs,Inflation Reduction, etc.). What did Trump do? Think how many cabinet level positions and chiefs of staff he went through. Shouldn't that be as much of a test as the person in charge?

Whitmer
Bashear
Newsome

There are others, but that is a start.

Though I am team Biden and unless he dies or is incapacitated, he should be the nominee.
