Did they stop work and gather everyone around to read the proclamation and take photos?

Yes, all governments do a lot of ceremonial stuff. Very few good governments prioritize the ceremonial stuff over the important stuff.

Not to mention read a bunch of speeches. The Youtube video is almost 17 minutes and it starts with the entire council and their guests already assembled.

It is okay to say that pronouns matter and that they have overdone it.

Jesus also celebrated International Pronoun Day.

John 18

As well, even in kindergarten they tell the kids about the LGBT movement's founders as if they are some sort of superheros.

Another reason to homeschool.

I've never heard of international pronoun day but sure, why not? It's not harming anyone other than the conservatives on this board that are desperately searching for new things to be be mad about. Literal snowflakes.

So, I am thinking that prepositions, nouns, and verbs are feeling a little slighted today.

You can advocate on behalf of your favorite parts of speech, if you wish to do so. Or you can just sit and complain anonymously about other people's efforts. That's always an option.

No, somebody did that as one of their many work tasks.

I typically work on multiple tasks, during the work day. You probably do too.

Doesn’t matter. Whatever time is used to write that drivel is wasted.
