No it is sadly it is you who are out of touch. Support for Israel is no longer a non partisan issue. About 60% of the Republican do not support Israel any more. It’s the same percentage that support Russia in the Ukraine and think North Korea is just misunderstood. If someone said five years ago the majority of Republicans will support Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine and pulling out of Nato people would have laughed.

There could have been a two-state solution decades ago if the Palestinians had stopped their call to destroy Israel.

But then Israel ramped up the tension by building all their illegal settlements.

Hamas is 100% to blame for this new war. But Israel has got to stop the illegal settlements, and Palestinians have to stop electing the terrorist organization Hamas.

Israeli intelligence being the best in the world is just propaganda. Look for the easy answer. They got complacent. In reality there are no columns of tanks crossing the border. This is very manageable situation for Israel.

NP. According to Pew Republicans support of Israel is 78%. Democrat support of Israel is 60%. Both are high. When asked about support for Palestinians Republicans were around 37% while Democrats were at 64%.
Striking is more Democrats supported Palestinians over Israelis.
JBS (no friend of conservatism or Republicans) had a panel where there was significant concern that Biden would be the last pro-Israel Democrat president.

"Read the room" - Trump is the Republican that supports Russia, North Korea. And his influence is (finally) waning. The Tea Party/Freedom Caucus and the MAGA Trumpers can cause chaos but they aren't the majority and they aren't in control.
