I appreciate the follow up |
Anyone here know what neighborhood he lived in? We live not far from Knights of Columbus and know lots of kids who swim there due to proximity. My kids are roughly the same age as his, are swimmers, and do all the common Arlington activities. His name is bland enough that it doesn’t ring any bells but chances are pretty good that our paths have crossed at some point. |
Williamsburg Neighborhood when he was still with the family. God, his poor family. They were with Knights, AAC, baseball, etc. |
Horrible for his family. It’s all over national news - a WSJ article on him came up on my LinkedIn. He is a disgusting human being and I hope he is in jail for the rest of his life. |
Agree. Some of the other articles have excerpts of the transcript and evidence and it's just absolutely despicable. I feel sick for his family and his victims. I myself have a sweet kid the same age as those victims and I can't stop thinking about it. I hope he never, ever, ever leaves jail. |
The only possible good to come of this would be if parents realized maybe giving their young kids unfettered access to the internet and social media is not a good thing.
My heart breaks for these victims and the disgusting monster’s family. |
No kidding. It blows my mind that intelligent parents know how damaging social media is for kids and they let them on it anyway. I have to say, this one is also making me re-think sleepovers. This guy probably passed for a nice normal dad. |
Have known this family and the kids for 10+ years. I’m sure the kids are struggling on the inside but can at least say they are still living normal lives on the outside. Can’t imagine the internal but know their friends and community are behind them. |
No red flags from people who knew him? |
He was quirky for sure (kids played on same sports team) but nothing that screamed abuser. Truly shocking. |
I can't stop thinking about his wife. ![]() |
Hopefully his family gets the support they need, they are also victims. I can't even imagine. |
No. It's shocking. |
Came across this forum randomly...I worked with Mark and knew him quite well a while back (2004-2011).
I am just as shocked as all of you. Never saw the signs. He was already married at the time and never witnessed infidelity or god forbid any child-related incidents. He was just a guy who worked hard and wanted to provide for his family. Thoughts and prayers to all that have been affected by this. Will check back here later this week if anybody wants to ask me any questions. More than willing to discuss. |
You worked with him 13yrs ago and saw no signs. What questions would people have for you? |
