That's Ivory Tower Elitism! Why am I not surprised ? Desantis attended Harvard and Yale, and obviously they indoctrinated him. I'm glad Joe the Plumber is not alive to see this.

LOL like Ron's someone to talk about how people dress

I'm a Democrat and 100% against such a lacks dress code for the senate. I don't care if people wear suit jackets and ties every day, but I think there needs to be some level of civility and decorum. And I don't think people in lounge pants, hoodie, sweatshirts, and flip-flops are what are nation needs at this point.
The reason we say the gentleman from Texas or the gentle woman from Missouri is to have a level of civility to have conversations and discussions.... It keeps it from getting into the mud which it already is enough. Without people showing up in pajamas now. I don't want to walk into the senate and it look like an 8:00 a.m. college course on French literature.

I miss the memo. Why this is changing for John federman..... does he have a physical disability that makes him unable to wear pants?

This was an odd fashion choice for a guy whose brand is hating gay and trans people.

He is "more comfortable" in his hoodie and shorts. That is all.

^^^^ Here we have someone who doesn't understand the difference between dressing for dealing with the effects of a hurricane's aftermath and working in the Senate chambers.
You are ignorant, pp.

Translation: he is more comfortable looking and acting like a bum than a professional with a real job.

Would have been my guess. Her clown outfits predate Fetterman.

Or GOP Senator Richard Burr, known for routinely wearing things like ratty, wrinkled shorts, ill fitting golf shirt and flip flops

Or so many others in the past....

But sure, suddenly it's all about Fetterman.

That's not while working in the actual chamber, dimwit. No one cares how you arrive or leave before or after work. Senators change all the time in their offices.

Bum Fetterman wants to go to actual work in the chamber looking like a slovenly homeless drug addict from Kensington.

It's really, really pathetic.

The self-described "educated" people here on DCUM don't seem to understand this fact - or they do, but will deflect away in order to justify the change in enforcement of the dress code because it benefits a slovenly outfitted Democrat.

I have to agree with this. Sinema has always irritated me too (I mean, in so, so many ways but I digress), and now Fetterman acting like he can't dress like a grown up. His schtick feels just like that - a schtick. Get over yourself and show some respect. -- Another Dem

Oh, please. Google photos of MTG and Boebert acting like WWF fans in the chamber.

There are a couple people in both parties who dress and behave unprofessionally. If anything can be non partisan, it’s this. This is a serious job for serious people. If you can’t bother to dress for the respect the role deserves, you don’t deserve your $180,000 paycheck.

Zero decorum. Far worse than dress code.
