There are standards for conduct and personal appearance. The fact that Schumer is lowering the standards for clowns like Fettermans is absolutely pathetic.

For the record, I already posted above that Fetterman needs to grow up and wear the proper clothing to work, as should Sinema. But the R's incessant need to overlook and excuse behavior of their candidates and officials and the mental gymnastics to get there is laughable.

The military has specific clothing because it provides a measurable benefit (you know, the whole "camouflage" thing...) but there is absolutely no performance benefit given to a Senator by wearing a suit.

If they want to work nude they should be able to. There's nothing inherently bad, wrong, or sexual about nudity - we're all born nude and uncaring, it's literally as natural as it gets. The only reason people like you get upset about nudity is because of the societal influence of religion, which has zero basis in fact or reality and is completely invalid.

People could and should hang dong and jam clam all they want in the Senate chambers as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah I'm really a big believer on there is a time and place and the Senate floor is not a time and place for sweats and gym shorts. I just can't take any of them seriously and I'm really sad and disheartened that this is how they spend their time...... About having to dress appropriately to go to work. Work that they are getting paid to do even though the government will be shutting down...... I guess we could say they can wear gym shorts during the government shutdown while they're sitting in their homes getting paid..... But when they're at the chamber they need to be dressed appropriately
