In the designated 'dog walk' area provided by the dog-friendly complex? |
Umm, no. It's up to you wether to allow your dog to mark the territory. Once my dog done with his physiological business - he doesn't get to play that game of one-upping. I make the rules for the dog, and my rule is - we're walking for exercise and not participating in pissing contest with other dogs. |
That doesn't in 99 percent of dog friendly buildings in any large city, including DC. People in cities are less uptight about this kind of thing though. It's a good day if you have a 40 year old human naked and spread eagle taking a dump on your lawn! |

Free to ignore. But you are getting worked up for nothing. |
1000% Walk your dog in your own yard for that crap!! |

Our neighbor now has a ring camera pointed to the common area. Right where their no poop signs are. It’s not private property. They have a smile you’re on camera sign as well. It’s so passive aggressive and a violation of privacy. That it’s not their actual yard irks me. They must have massive pull with the condo hoa.
I get that some dog owners are not decent with where they allow their pets. And some do not pick up. I don’t get why someone thinks a public area is theirs to police that way. It’s super rude. |
Did you know that soil is made up of poop and rotting plants? Is he bitter about the soil too? |
Right in the middle of the sidewalk I guess. What an improvement, right? |
How is that a violation of privacy? You're in public. |
I agree with most of your post but what the neighbor is doing is not a violation of anyone’s privacy. And OP, your dog does not have rights. |
| Wouldn’t it be great if every person could be trusted to take care of public spaces? |
Who is walking the pup? Another dog? Or an illiterate, ill-bred, boorish human? |

Take a small pine cone, put some pepper sauce on it, wrap a bacon and spray it with bacon fat.
Spread ground red pepper on the area. Let your sprinkler go off when someone comes near. A few such tasty tidbits on your lawn and other surprises, will keep pets away. And then it becomes ingrained to avoid your lawn. |
