What’s your summer sandal that goes with everything?

I was also looking for something I could wear for almost any occasion (from pool or vacation to work or nicer dinner) and settled on, of all things, these Crocs (specifically the black/tan combo):

Haven't had them for even a season yet, so can't speak to durability or comfort walking for long periods of time, but my feet felt fine after a day at the office.

I don't think there are one pair of sandals that go with everything. I'm a big fan of simple slides, though, because even if they're not fashionable and in style, they're not offensive and nobody would laugh at me for wearing them.

I am right there with you, AND I AM FROM VERMONT so at one point I *really* wanted to like them. I don't get the appeal, comfort-wise.

Maybe the fungal look is a trend?!

What I will offer then, admitting that a) I have nicer sandals for sure and b) these don’t tick EVERY single night to day summer activity box is the t strap flip flops from Old Navy. They somehow look cute with sundresses and with black jeans and a white tank. They work with shorts and can be worn to the pool too. Slender and barely there, I really love them. They’re like $5:

These are better than the vast majority of this thread and $5 so you win.

Maybe I'm a plebe and don't understand designer footwear but these are far cuter than any of the "high end" options that have been posted here. That said...they look like they'd kill my feet. But they're cute.

I have some minor foot issues where the ideal shoe for me, according to the podiatrist, is a 1 to 2 inch heel. Birks have a sunken heel combined with a high arch. They're VERY uncomfortable for me.

I am also very pro Crocs for everyday sandals. They are comfortable, indestructible, waterproof and easy to clean. I wear these:

I am laughing out loud at this thread! Thank you. I love a Birkenstock as much as anyone, but I don’t think the op was looking for all the orthopedic shoe recommendations here.

I know some will think these are ugly, but for an everyday sandal, these are very comfortable and they go with most casual wear:

No.

To the people posting stuff like keens …. Are you being serious? Do you think these go with everything? Like you would wear these to brunch with friends, shopping, summer party in a friends backyard?

I would like to know as well! These keep getting posted on sandal threads and I have very little fashion sense and these are hideous.

Shopping, brunch, and backyard parties are exactly where I wear these sandals.

These are pretty expensive but I could see them working for a range of settings:
