Of course. The Sacklers. Huge support to the arts. And some of those dumb dumb institutions refused to take the money or gave it back. I mean so what if many people overdosed and are six feet under and left a wake of destroyed families. They could have had more money. .foolish institutions.

Institutions should absolutely vet who they are taking $ from and have language in place that enables them to take a name down and give $ back, but not all rich people are sociopaths just vain. The Sacklers were also pretty wily about how their donations were structured with most of the actual $ coming on the backend but getting credit for them upfront.
