Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have broken up

What a waste of time. Hopefully she will not invest another 6 years in some passerby.

Didn't know he cared about his eggs to that extend

I feel like for things to work, she needs to date someone who is either as famous as her, or a complete nobody who is not in the entertainment industry. Otherwise, they just use her to propel themselves to stardom. Look at Calvin Harris and now Joe Alwyn, they got so much press from dating her.

I’m over 40 and proud to be a fan of her work. If anyone really has not heard folklore and evermore and is basing their opinions of her WORK without hearing them, you really should listen to each. They are on a different level.
As to the breakup, I think it’s unfortunate when any longer term relationship ends, whatever the reason. And I can’t imagine having to perform these songs 2-3 nights a week for the next few months. I feel for her as a human. I also feel for anyone who can’t find some empathy/compassion for their fellow human beings. Be better people.

Exactly. She is a human being with feelings. That’s why people relate so deeply to her songs. “Sweet Nothing” makes me cry, and now it is even more poignant. I wish her happiness; she deserves it.

In this day and age a rich woman can have kids when she’s 50. No one should do that, in my view, but with egg freezing and surrogacy there is no more biological clock for rich women.

Some people think that song is really about her mom.

So this is actually a divorce?

I imagine they rarely had the chance to see each other, with their busy careers. That kills relationships.

There's question around whether its valid in the US. e.g. if you get married at Gretna Green in Scotland

Lol. Is it that hard for you to accept that many women don’t actually prioritize popping out babies in their 20s/30s? She is Taylor Effin Smith. She can have a baby however and whenever she wants. She doesn’t have a baby because she *does not want a baby.* It’s absolutely bonkers how not even being one of the most powerful women in the world can dispell this stereotype. In fact I’d wager it is more likely they broke up because Joe wanted a baby and she did not, then vice versa.

Taylor Effin Smith, I'm dying!

weird? she clearly has not wanted to have a baby. it’s called birth control.

I wouldn’t be so sure she’s on birth control. It’s not that safe, it impacts weight and mood. And either way, it’s not 100%. What I was getting at is they weren’t having much sex. That’s a very, very long time to not get pregnant at their ages.

????. PP is so delusional and in some insulated world. There are litereally MILLIONS of woman who go for years in a healthy sexual relationship who don't get pregnant. What planet are you from ??

There are “literally millions” of women in their 20s and early 30s in six or seven year monogamous relationships, having lots of sex and not getting pregnant? I doubt that. It’s tick-tock at that age and everyone around you is getting married and knocked up.

What I wish for viral drama-sake: a John Mayer reunion!
